Ashok Lavasa, a 1980-batch
IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, is an MPhil in defence studies, also holds an
MBA and is currently Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate
Change. He has immense administrative experience in the Ministries of Civil
Aviation, Power, Home Affairs, and the Department of Economic Affairs in the
central government and in Haryana where he began as SDO, Mahendragarh, and has
served as Principal Secretary, Department of Power, and Chairman, Haryana Power
Generation Corporation.
